I Feel Like…..

Good Morning, Metro! I referenced an article entitled, “Stop Saying ‘I Feel Like’ during the sermon from 1 Corinthians 13. It’s worth a read. In 1 Corinthians we see that love is “behavioral” before it is sentimental. That is counter-culture to our day, is it not? Of course love includes sentiment, and there is nothing wrong with that, but we all know how prone our sentiment changes because sentiment is rooted in feelings, not convictions about the characteristics, or behaviors of love. What will anchor our convictions about love for others when we aren’t “feeling” love? I hope you will meditate on 1 Corinthians 13 with two effects; greater love for others, and greater astonishment that though we were not very lovable in our sin, God loved us anyway!

God Bless your week, friends!
