Following Paul’s exhortation in 1 Cor. 14:1, as a church, we pursue love and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially prophecy.
We embrace God’s promise in Acts 2:17 to pour out His Spirit and prophecy as a continuing grace to the New Testament local church that encourages, edifies, and comforts. We don’t see prophecy as equal to Scripture. Nor do we see it as adding to biblical revelation or the closed canon. Rather, we follow the command of Scripture (1 Cor. 14:1,37-39) to invite the Holy Spirit to manifest His testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10) through prophetic words saturated with Christ’s finished work for us, His continuing work in us, and His God-glorifying work through us. During our services, we’ve learned to trust God for prophetic ministry done decently, and in order. (1 Cor. 14:40) This includes times of elder-judged prophetic ministry, prophetic community prayer ministry, and proven prophetic team ministry for individuals.
In keeping with our mission to love, grow, and share, through the gift of prophecy we want to express God’s love for the church, grow the believers in their faith to be used, and share the gospel of hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Over 30+ years at MetroLife, we’ve built a submitted, thriving Prophetic Community through authentic relationships, encouraging feedback, and sound doctrine. Our growing Prophetic community has an experienced, mature leadership team that provides regular teaching classes, equipping sessions, and regional conferences to help people grow in their understanding and faith to step out in this wonderful gift of prophecy to the local church.
Our Prophetic Community Leadership team networks with other proven prophetic ministers traveling regionally, and internationally, serving local churches with a heart for equipping, and raising up, Prophetic Communities of their own.
