Sunday's message was a call for us to pursue greatness, true greatness, the way God has defined it. The Bible says of the Bereans in Acts 17:11, "Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so." The Bereans were more noble than the Jews from Thessalonica not because they were more educated, wealthier, had a better family. No, they were more noble because they knew, believed and lived in the good of God's Word.

That's what I long for in us as a church. That we would be noble or great in the way that God defines greatness!
