Music and Worship: Sunday, January 10th, 2016

Good Afternoon!

Here is a brief recap of some of the songs that we used to worship God through this past Sunday, and some notes from one of our worship leaders, John McCall, on preparing our hearts to lead others into worship. Also included below are some of the scriptures that inform the songs sung on Sunday.

We hope you are encouraged and uplifted as you read and watch below!

Main Prayer Focus

Ephesians 5: 8 –“for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” Lord, allow us to have faith that we ARE the salt and light of the world because of what you have done to us and through us! Help us be confident and motivated to walk out in the promise of this; That we were once lost without sight, but are now found with vision and glorious purpose, in preserving and Glorifying the Kingdom of God.

Things To Consider As A Band

Do you remember your rescue? Consider who was a Light to you when you experienced Darkness and through them you saw Christ. Do you remember what it felt like when someone you saw brought flavor to a verse that you had heard a thousand times before? Consider someone who, to you, has Preserved and Stood Fast for the Kingdom of God.

How Do The Songs Support The Message?

Being the Salt and Light in a Dark and Decaying world, places us in the unique position of presenting how the source and character of both Salt and Light come from the same Almighty God who formed the earth with his own voice. We lead a congregation in articulating words that praiseJesus by hearing the Truths and Promises that motivate and inspire boldness to be something to ask for, to be participants in the Kingdom of God, not just residents!
