Music and Worship: Sunday, July 10th, 2016

Good Afternoon!

This past Sunday we gathered as a church once again to worship our God together. In case you missed it or just want to listen back, here is a recap of the songs we sang, along with some of the scriptures that inform them!

We hope you are encouraged and refreshed by the truths that you hear and read below.

Holy, Holy, Holy (Savior King)

And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3)

And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Revelation 4:8)

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6)

“You keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because He trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” (Isaiah 26:3-4)

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is his faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Jesus, True and Only

"...as it is written: 'None is righteous, no, not one...'" (Romans 3:10 ESV)

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." (Romans 12:1)

Benediction

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." (Numbers 6:24-26)

"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (Colossians 3:15-17)

O Church Arise

"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18)

All To Us

"Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’" (Isaiah 28:16)
