Food Truck Rally raises funds for Global Impact missions trips
May 19, 2013 will forever be noted in history books as the Sunday where no Metro Life Church members were seen in Tijuana Flats. Difficult to believe as it may be, the popular (and nearby) Tex-Mex chain was not closed for business, and it wasn't a church-wide day of fasting. This time, our lunch drove to us.
This past Sunday, Metro Life Church hosted our first food-truck rally for global impact. A portion of the proceeds went toward the upcoming missions trips to Honduras, Bolivia, and the Bahamas. Food trucks included Fork in the Road, The Crooked Spoon, WakoTaco Food Truck, C&S Brisket Bus, 5 Gastronomy, and The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck.
It was a great time of food, games, and fellowship. Where else could you eat a bison burger or shark taco and contribute to overseas missions?
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success.
